Samsung announced that it will ship the first batch of new volumes 1TB NVMe M.2 SM961 next week, and came of this information by Ronde Bland CEO RamCity.
New volume SM961 provides a further improvement in performance compared to the previous generation, including SM951, Samsung and used in controlled Polaris new storage drive, which helps reduce the heat, thanks to this new controller these discs will be able to transfer data at speeds of 3200 MB / s while reading, and fast 1800 MB / s while writing, as to be able to handle volumes up to 450.000 IOPS in random read and 320.000 IOPS in random write.
For the price, RamCity company has stated that the new storage drive 1TB SM961 will be available at a price of $ 512, which will be a 256 GB version priced at $ 159, while the 512 GB version will be available at a price of $ 280. These prices suitable to some extent, the company will send the first shipments of them during the next week.
